How we collect, use, and protect your information when you shop the Wig Shop.
Effective 9 June 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Hair Mastery (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you browse or purchase a wig from our online shop at hair-mastery.com. It applies to physical wig orders (The Session Wig and the Ready-to-Wear Wig). Purchases of our online courses and subscriptions are covered by our main Privacy Policy. We are the data controller for the information described here.

We process personal data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies to customers in the EU/EEA and UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. What we collect
You give us:
- Name, shipping and billing address, email address, and phone number (if provided)
- Order details — the wig(s), shades, lengths, density, lace, and other options you select
- Any notes, fitting measurements, or messages you send with your order
- Account details, if you create an account
Collected automatically: device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, and cookies or similar technologies (see Section 7).
We do not store your full card details. Card and payment information is handled directly by our payment providers (see Section 4).

3. Marketing
If you opt in, we may email you about new wigs, restocks, and Hair Mastery classes through our email platform (MailerLite). Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by emailing support@hair-mastery.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional emails about an order you’ve placed.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers who help us run the shop, and only what they need:
- Payment processing — Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay) and Klarna, under their own privacy policies.
- Order fulfilment & shipping — our wig-making and fulfilment partners, and carriers (e.g. DHL, FedEx, UPS, and regional couriers) who need your name, address, and contact details.
- Email & communications — MailerLite and our internal order-coordination tools.
- Website hosting & infrastructure — our WordPress/WooCommerce hosting provider.
- Professional advisors and authorities — accountants, and tax or customs authorities where legally required.
We never sell your personal data. Some providers may process data outside Switzerland (e.g. in the EU or US); where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. International transfers & customs
To ship internationally, we and our carriers must share the recipient’s name, address, contents, and value with customs authorities in the destination country. This is required to clear your parcel.
6. How long we keep it
- Order, tax, and accounting records: for as long as Swiss law requires (generally up to 10 years).
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Account data: until you close your account.
7. Cookies
Our shop uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember preferences, secure your session, and understand how the site is used (including analytics tools where enabled). You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may stop checkout from working.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, receive your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent for marketing at any time. To exercise any of these, email support@hair-mastery.com. EU/EEA and UK customers may also complain to their local data protection authority; Swiss residents may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
9. Security
We use encryption (HTTPS), access controls, and trusted processors to protect your data. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.
10. Children
Our shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date shows the latest version; material changes will be posted on this page.
